Age 4 to 16 years
B-BUDDIES CIC Go Ride Clubs enable children and young people to get the most out of their cycling.
Whether they are a seasoned racer or new to cycling, there is nothing better than riding with like-minded cyclists in a traffic free environment to develop your skills and realise your potential.
Go Ride is British Cycling's development programme for young people that provides a fun and safe way to introduce young riders to the world of cycle sport and provides a platform to improve bike handling skills.
The club will focus on coaching riders to ride predominantly on grass, gravel, tarmac, woodland and more as well as introduce them to the world of cyclo-cross and other off-road racing, a fun way to get into cycle sport.
Riders must be able to cycle independently including starting off on their own, cycling for a reasonable distance confidently and stopping safely as well as experience on grass, inclines and declines. For our age 8-16 clubs riders must also be able to cycle with one hand controlling the bike for a minimum of 5 seconds.
Bad weather plan:
Although we run all year round, occasionally the weather is too cold, hot or wet to continue. Rather than cancelling, once we have built up a fleet of rollers through donations, we will run indoor stamina training mixed with bike maintenance skills.
